The Day 1 Sydney East team.

On Thursday morning, Miranda RSL Youth Club once again hosted the Sydney East Trampolining Trial for public high school students. At the conclusion of the event, fourteen students were selected to represent the region at the 2023 NSWCHSSA Trampoline Sports Championship to be held in Gosford on the 11th and 12th of September.

This year’s team includes 4 athletes from Port Hacking High School’s Special Education program. These athletes all participate in school sport at the Youth Club and have worked extremely hard to earn their place on the team.

We wish the whole Sydney East team the best of luck for the upcoming Championship.

Miranda RSL Youth Club is looking for expressions of interest regarding the introduction of a TeamGym class to our Trampoline and Tumbling Timetable in Term 3.

TeamGym is a gymnastics discipline that combines tumbling, mini tramp and dance to create an exciting team competition event. Teams have 6 to 12 members and can consist of any mix of ages and genders.

Miranda RSL Youth Club is currently looking at forming an Intermediate TeamGym team. The class would run from 1 to 1 1/2 hours on a Thursday night and would suit anyone in their early to late teens with some gymnastics or dance experience. If you would like to put in an expression of interest or learn more about TeamGym, please send us a message via our Facebook page or send an email to mirandarslyc@gmail.com.

Due to a change in coach availability, we will be making several changes to our Trampoline and Tumbling timetable in Term 3. The changes are as follows:

Monday – Our 4-5pm KinderGym Class will become a General Ability Class. Athletes between 3 and 5 years old are encouraged to join our Saturday KinderGym Class.

Tuesday – No changes.

Wednesday – All classes have been cancelled, please speak to Mr Bull about moving to a different day.

Thursday – No changes.

Saturday – No changes.

Our Karate timetable remains unchanged. For more information, head to our Timetable page or send us an email at info@mirandarslyc.com.au.

The 2023 Sydney East Combined High School Trampoline Trials will be held at the Youth Club on Thursday, 27th July from 9am. For more information please head to our Combined High School Championships page or speak with your coach.

Congratulations to everyone who competed at last week’s Regional Competition. This was the first competition held at the Youth Club in over 10 years and it was great to see so many members getting involved.

A big thank you to Southern Highlands Trampoline Club for joining us and to Michelle and Belinda for helping us judge. We would also like to thank all the coaches, judges, volunteers and parents who came along to help out and support our athletes, we really appreciate it!
