The countdown is on! The Australian Gymnastics Championships are now only a few weeks away. This year the Youth Club has one representative on the NSW State Team, Olivia T., who will be competing in Individual Trampoline, Double Mini and Tumbling in the U11 Women’s division.

This is Olivia’s first year in National Stream and she has been working very hard to upgrade her skills and perfect her routines for competition. Olivia is also our Club’s second athlete to qualify for Tumbling since we first established our dedicated Tumbling program last year. You can have a look at Olivia in action earlier this year by clicking the video below. You can also jump over to our Instagram page to see how far Olivia has progressed in the last 2 years.

We wish Olivia the best of luck for the rest of her Nationals journey. For more information about the National Championships including tickets, you can visit their website by clicking here.

Thank you to everyone who attended this morning’s ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Miranda War Memorial. As an important day in the Youth Club calendar, it was heartening to see the Youth Club well represented with numerous members and their parents in attendance. There was also an impressive community turn out with crowds spilling out of Central Road onto Parkside Avenue.

A special thanks goes to Club Treasurer Bill Lewis who organised the set up for the ceremony and our many volunteers who helped with the barbecue and equipment pack down.

No matter where you are today, we hope that you can take the time to reflect on the spirit of the ANZACs and express your gratitude for the dedication and courage of our service men and women.

Lest We Forget.
