Welcome back to Miranda RSL Youth Club for 2021.

This year we are excited to welcome three new Trampoline and Tumbling coaches to our team, Rhiannon Bainat, Jaime Mader and Liam Merchant. The Youth Club has also purchased a new set of skipping ropes, a new wedge and a new set of boxes for our Trampoline and Tumbling program to replace ageing equipment.

We can also confirm that this years ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Miranda Cenotaph has once again been cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We encourage you to instead mark the occasion at home.

Please be aware that Term Fees have increased from 2020. Enrolment in a 1 hour class for a 10 week term will now cost $150 while a 2 hour class for a 10 week term has increased to $250. The annual registration fee of $60 for Trampoline and Tumbling and $40 for Karate must also be paid.

Finally, a reminder that our COVID Safety plan remains in effect. For the safety of our members, please DO NOT come to training if:

  • You or an immediate family member is unwell or have COVID-19 symptoms (including fever, sore throat, cough or shortness of breath).
  • You have been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
  • You have been advised to self isolate by health authorities (including those currently awaiting COVID-19 test results).

Here’s to another great year of fun and fitness at Miranda RSL Youth Club!

Next Saturday is ANZAC Day. While we won’t be gathering for our traditional Dawn Service, there are still ways that you can commemorate the occasion at home.

At 6am on ANZAC Day, we ask you to stand in your driveway, on your balcony or in your living room to remember all those who have served and sacrificed. You can tune in to the Australian War Memorial commemorative service from 5:30am on the ABC.

Please note that the 2020 Miranda RSL ANZAC Day Dawn Service has been cancelled due to concerns regarding Coronavirus.

Thank you to everyone who attended this morning’s ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Miranda War Memorial. As an important day in the Youth Club calendar, it was heartening to see the Youth Club well represented with numerous members and their parents in attendance. There was also an impressive community turn out with crowds spilling out of Central Road onto Parkside Avenue.

A special thanks goes to Club Treasurer Bill Lewis who organised the set up for the ceremony and our many volunteers who helped with the barbecue and equipment pack down.

No matter where you are today, we hope that you can take the time to reflect on the spirit of the ANZACs and express your gratitude for the dedication and courage of our service men and women.

Lest We Forget.
