Instructor, Sensei Lex McKinley (6th Dan) commenced training in 1981 with 1981 and joined SKI in 1986. Lex competed at the SKI World Championships with the Australian team in 1988, 91 & 94, & was Captain in 1991. He has travelled & trained in Japan & the USA to attend International Seminars. He is the currently the SKIA National President.

Instructor: Sensei Gerard Healy (5th Dan) commenced training with Sensei Enoda in London in 1979. A highlight for him was training with Tekki Donovan in Barking, London.

Instructor: Sensei Tim Stephenson (5th Dan) commenced training with Sensei Kayo (Shobukan) at the University club in 1980. His highlights include winning National Team Kumite in 2000 and getting to know Kanazawa Kancho in 1996 and 1999 in Perth. Tim is the SKIA National Secretary.

Instructor: Sensei Clive Funston (5th Dan) commenced training in Perth with Jan de Jong 1977. He trained and graded with Sensei Enoeda in England before returning to Perth and joining SKI.
